Dr Joanna Sochacka is a PhD teaching as assistant professor in the Piano Department of Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, Poland. Her students are already laureates of international piano competitions.
She provides regularly masterclasses – for Association Chinese Culture Music & Arts in China and Germany, BAMA International Piano Festival & Masterclasses in Canada, Pancho Vladygerov Music School in Burgas, Bulgaria, Elevato Stanza International Lectures & Masterclasses, Masterclasses at Festival Europeo de Jovenes Solistas in Venezuela, ,,Masters” Masterclasses for Associazione Auditorium in Puglia, Italy.
🏅Joanna is an Artistic Director and Jury Member at many competitions including International Liszt Piano Youth Competition in China and Utrecht, Elevato International Piano Competitions in Salzburg and Bern, Trzciana International Piano Competition, IOPC- Instrumental Performance Competition in Toronto, Kreisler International Competition in Bonn, Arthur Rubinstein Piano Prize Competition in Łódź, AEGIO International Piano Competition – Europe.

That is why, I know that every young person needs a big support in their passion and very strong help from pedagogue. Not only good teaching as learning the right position to the instrument, gaining good technical skills, avoiding any pain or problems with hands and body, learning about pieces structure and about the proper sound or style in the music. But also – planning the overall repertoire, talking about some personal issues, planning the best competition strategy to develop as a concert pianist and a musician. Joanna studied with great pianists and pedagogues, currently she is studying with prof. Milana Chernyavska (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz, Austria, Reina Sofia School of Music, Madrid). She graduated from Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva, Switzerland (prof. Fabrizio Chiovetta), Academy of Music in Łódź, Poland (prof. Hanna Holeksa), Academy of Music in Cracow (prof. Andrzej Pikul). Besides she worked with such pedagogues as Dmitry Bashkirov, Paul Badura-Skoda, Kevin Kenner, Akiko Ebi, Dmitry Alexeev, Lilya Zilberstein, Dina Yoffe, Tatiana Zelikman, Jean Marc Luisada, Andrzej Jasiński, Anna Malikova, Jura Margulis and others.
